Tom Gibbons joined Gateway in 2022 and serves as President, Gateway Health Partners. In this role, he brings over 35 years of pharmacy industry experience, including leadership positions at two Fortune 10 companies, to drive innovation, growth, and value creation for Gateway Health Partners and its client base.
Tom is originally a Pharmacist from New Jersey, where he worked as a Retail Pharmacist and was later responsible for Pharmacy IT system development within the St Barnabas Healthcare System as well Pharmacy IT and Operations at Wakefern Food corporation.
Tom joined PCS in 1998, leading to a 20 year career in what was eventually CVS Health. The majority of his tenure was at the Senior VP level, first on the PBM side where he was SVP Retail Network Administration at Caremark, leading all aspects of negotiation, management, and performance tracking across 65,000 pharmacies Tom then moved to SVP of Managed Care and Payer Relations for CVS Retail and Omnicare. In this role, he led all components for negotiation and contracting on behalf of approximately 10,000 CVS pharmacies and 97% of CVS filled prescriptions.
Tom later joined Express Scripts/Cigna where he was CEO of InsideRx, and Vice President of Wholesale markets and consumer solutions.
Tom currently resides in Sedona Arizona.
