The Clinical Services Team at Gateway Health Partners is comprised of clinicians and staff with unmatched experience in the managed care space. The minimum managed care tenure for each team member is fifteen years across at least three previous organizations. Azim Bari
Senior Vice President, Clinical Services
A. Azim Bari, Pharm.D., MBA, BCPS joined Gateway Health Partners (Gateway) in 2017. Prior to Gateway, Azim worked as a Senior Clinical Account Manager for Cigna Pharmacy Management, Senior Pharmacy Benefit Consultant at Pharmaceutical Strategies Group (PSG), and as Director of Clinical Account Management for National Accounts with Catalyst Rx. Prior to joining Catalyst Rx, Azim worked as a medication adherence clinical pharmacist with Walgreens Health Initiatives. Azim has successfully completed a dual-accredited [American Society of Health- Systems Pharmacist (ASHP)/Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP)] managed care residency with Walgreens Health Initiatives. After the completion of his residency, he sat for and successfully cleared Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy. Azim graduated in 2006 with a Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy and earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 2016 from the University of Texas.
Sam Warman, RPh
Executive Director, Client Consulting
Sam joined Gateway Health Partners in 2019. He is responsible for coordinating client facing reporting and Gateway’s Medical Rebate Program. Prior to Gateway, Sam worked as Clinical Relationship Executive for SS&C, Director of Account Management and Director of Clinical Consultants with Catamaran and CatalystRx. Previous to these positions, Sam worked as an Account Manager for Health Information Designs, Inc. in support of the Division of Medicaid for the State of Mississippi where he was responsible for a Prior Authorization Call Center, facilitating the Retrospective Drug Utilization Review Board, and coordinating the State’s Supplemental Rebate Program. Sam earned his Pharmacy Degree from the University of Mississippi in 1995.
Valerie Williams, CPhT
Clinical Operations Manager
Valerie joined Gateway Health Partners in 2016. She carries a deep understanding of clinical analytics and Salesforce. She brings with her the experience and knowledge she gained while working at the retail level with Walgreens Pharmacy. She has also worked with prescription benefit managers such as CatalystRx, Catamaran and Optum. Valerie works directly with many clients and also provides skillful support to our team of pharmacists. Valerie graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Business Administration (BBA) and a minor in Health Care Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
